Arts & Humanities
“It’s on the strength of observation and reflection that one finds a way. So we must dig and delve unceasingly.” – Claude Monet
We believe that involvement in the arts is a critical element for students on the road to recovery. As a result, the arts and humanities are integrated across the disciplines.
Studio Art
Each student is encouraged to find their own means of self-expression within the parameters of the assigned projects. Each student is expected to complete approximately five assignments each quarter. The projects are designed to introduce students to as many types and techniques of art so that they may each find their expressive niche. Often, they will be given a background of a certain movement and then are assigned a project that explores that movement’s philosophy or technique.
