Mission & Philosophy

Provide a challenging and meaningful academic program with tools and strategies to build recovery and resilience, leading to lifelong success and recovery.

Our Mission

The Bridge Way School aims to be a leader and innovator in the field of recovery education by generating and providing groundbreaking approaches to rigorous learning while offering the support and love our youth need to continue on their journey of recovery from substance use and co-occurring disorders so that they can manifest their dreams in their postsecondary lives. Our mission is to cultivate the safe, brave community our youth need to thrive and plan for their futures based on their passions and goals. We encourage and uplift the values of resilience, healing, individuality, connection, stewardship, and joy so that youth can communicate effectively, use coping skills to regulate their emotions, honor their identities, lean into community, act as informed citizens, and embrace their triumphs now and in the future.

Our Philosophy

Recovery is not linear, and compassion is critical on our journey of healing. We believe that youth have the power to do the hard work of making change by setting goals, engaging with challenging education opportunities, and following their passions just as much as we believe that youth need to experience high levels of support to make progress toward graduation during their recovery journey. We believe our youth have the capacity to achieve and engage with highly intellectual experiences that push their critical thinking and leadership skills. We believe in trying new things, taking risks, and making space for beauty in the face of any hurdle we face. We know mistakes are normal. We will always rise from the ashes with humility and motivation to grow. At Bridge Way, we operate with immediacy— always being nimble and responsive to what our youth, families, and community need. We offer stability. We embrace healing. We are a recovery high school.

“Bridge Way literally saved my life. I love you guys. You changed my life."
